Organic Jasmine Green
Numi Organic Tea was founded in Oakland (California) in 1999 by siblings Ahmed Rahim and Reem Hassani. Their vision was to share the healing power of tea with the world. The name ‘Numi’ is derived from a drink made from dried desert lime and symbolises the hospitality and community in their home country of Iraq. Numi attaches great importance to sustainability and social responsibility. That is why the teas are made exclusively from hand-picked Fair Trade certified teas and herbs, combined with fruits, flowers and spices that carry the organic seal. Nothing else. The delicious portfolio includes green and white teas, as well as herbal tea in tea bags.
Together for H2OPE
One of Numi's social projects is ‘Together for H2OPE’. This non-profit initiative aims to provide clean and safe drinking water for tea-growing communities worldwide. Thanks to cooperation with local communities, water and wastewater systems have been built and repaired for many years. With a clear focus on sustainability and social responsibility, Numi has established itself as one of the leading suppliers of premium organic teas.
