Numi Organic Tea was founded in Oakland (California) in 1999 by siblings Ahmed Rahim and Reem Hassani. Their vision was to share the healing power of tea with the world. The name ‘Numi’ is derived from a drink made from dried desert lime and symbolises the hospitality and community in their home country of Iraq.
