The idea of NOAN

The desire to help children to a better future through education gave rise to NOAN - a social business concept that realises direct, fair trade and sustainable business across the board. Local expertise, fair prices for farmers and conscious handling of valuable raw materials guarantee the best products in the purest organic quality and symbolise NOAN's actions for the future. 

 NOAN, a specialist in gourmet-quality organic olive oils, has dedicated itself and its products to sustainability and social business. With exquisite flavour, fine nuances and produced according to all the rules of craftsmanship. NOAN Olive Oil is produced sustainably, fairly and ethically and fulfils the highest quality criteria! The quality work for this starts at the source, in the grove, which is organically farmed. ‘Our farmers are paid fairly and advised on the correct care of the grove so that the soil and plants remain healthy and the yield is high’. 

The founder of NOAN

Behind NOAN are the two founders Margit & Richard Schweger, who committed themselves to the idea of a socially responsible company in 2008 and gave it a name by combining the names of their two children - Noah & Anouk. 

Margit Schweger - The marketing expert brings many years of international experience to the NOAN project. Margit and Richard Schweger are happy parents of two children and both work for NOAN on a voluntary basis. 

Richard Schweger - The former entrepreneur and CEO of a global IT company is the driving force and the Abacus behind the NOAN project. 

The donation philosophy

NOAN believes that education lays the foundation for a sustainably better future. That is why we pass on our total profit every year to projects that are dedicated to the education of children and young people. Inspired and convinced by the idea of creating a sustainable and future-orientated business concept, the couple Margit and Richard Schweger founded the ‘NOAN’ brand in 2008. 

In addition to organic cultivation and fair prices for farmers in the production countries of Greece, Italy, Portugal and Austria, NOAN is committed to supporting disadvantaged children. All profits from the production and sale of NOAN organic delicacies are donated to selected educational projects for children and young people in need around the world.
