It didn’t take long for Giacomo’s hand-rolled, golden-baked grissini to become famous far beyond the region. Legend has it that people would queue in long lines waiting for the daily baking – and that the warm aroma from his oven would float down the narrow streets, drawing everyone in. Even before the unification of Italy, Giacomo’s Rubatà grissini had earned their place on the tables of Turin’s most distinguished families – a testament to the exceptional quality, craftsmanship, and passion that defined his work then and still does today.
